Huka Falls Resort sits in a quiet, green pocket of Taupō at 30 Sorrento Drive, Rangatira Park, surrounded by 7 hectares of landscaped gardens. Lake Taupō and the Taupō town centre are a 3 minute drive away, Huka Falls Road is a 2 minute drive and Taupō Airport is about 10 minutes by car.
The setting is one of the resort's greatest advantages. The Waikato River and the walking tracks that follow it start close by, so mornings can begin with a walk to the falls and afternoons can be spent on the lake. At the same time restaurants, shops, hot pools and activity operators in town remain a short drive away, which gives you the calm of a retreat with the convenience of being connected.
Guests regularly tell us they enjoy simply walking around the neighbourhood, where quiet streets, gardens and long views towards Mt Tauhara make it easy to slow down for a few days.

Free private parking is available on site for guests arriving by car, and the drive from Auckland takes roughly three and a half hours, while Wellington is around four and a half hours to the south.
